INFORMATION WHEN MAKING A BOOKING

Upon receipt of your request, we will make contact to verify the availability of the property.

  1. Reservations shall only be made by RENTAHOME on payment of the full deposit, being 50% of the total rental plus a non refundable administration fee of R200-00 and receipt of the signed Lease/Booking Form
  2. The balance of full payment, post cleaning fee and a refundable inventory deposit of 30% of the full rental, shall be made four weeks before commencement of the rental. Failure to comply on time will result in the cancellation of the booking. The deposit shall be retained by RENTAHOME, on behalf of the lessor, until the expiration of this lease agreement and the vacating of the premises by the lessee and an inspection. The balance of the deposit, less any amounts deductable for breakages, shall be refunded to the lessee after 7 working days and not later than 14 working days after termination of the lease. Payment will be by cheque or direct deposit into the lessee's banking account.
  3. Should a booking be made four weeks or less prior to the commencement date, the full rental amount and other costs, shall be deposited in cash or eft payment into RENTAHOME'S account, on their receipt of the signed Booking Form.
  4. Peak season bookings are for a minimum of 7 -10 nights
  5. Keys will only be released once full payment has been made

INVENTORY

Each property has an inventory list which must be checked on arrival. Any discrepancies to be reported within 24 hours. It will be checked by Rentahome on your departure and the inventory deposit returned within seven working days less any necessary deductions. Rentahome reserves the right to charge for any excessive laundry or cleaning that has to be done on the lessee’s behalf. Any damage or breakages will be deducted at current prices.

GENERAL

The lessee will be charged a post cleaning fee depending on the size of the accommodation.

CANCELLATIONS

Any cancellation made by the applicant, for whatever reason, shall first be made telephonically and then in writing. On receipt of such notice RENTAHOME will endeavour to re-let the holiday home for the entire period of the original booking. There shall be no obligation on the agent or the Lessor to obtain replacement tenants in the event of the Lessee cancelling the booking.

  • Should RENTAHOME re-let the holiday home when full payment has been made, payment is refundable.
  • If RENTAHOME is unable to re-let the accommodation when full payment has been made, the full payment will be lost, but the inventory deposit will be refunded.
  • If only the deposit has been paid then this is non refundable.

ADDITIONAL SERVICES OFFERED

  • The properties are self catering but should you require catering, chefs can be arranged.
  • Cleaning services available.
